Hello, I just built my first CBG from a C B Gitty kut. I would like to make a request and ask a question. Could you, or do you know of teach or create a beginner CBG course? Rather than random lessons, I would love to see a structured course that goes in order from lesson 1 to lesson whatever that builds upon itself. Thank you for all you do for the CBG community.

That extra metal loop/handle - sometimes the seal gets stuck pretty tight, so that extra handle gives you something to hold onto with one hand while you yank the lid open with the other.

That's some great playing. It's not easy even though the four strings are the same as a regular six string. Your mind still tries to play the chord shapes that use the 5 and 6 strings.

Very nice I've dremmeled a knob lower to glue into a shell casing so it's flush with bottom casing.

Nice build! I like the shells for the fret markers! I have used 22s in the past but I like the ones with the spent primers!

i used a rifle sling as a strap on my ak cbg

I just drilled a hole in a scrap piece of wood so that the length of bullet shell I want is sticking out of the whole and just cut it off with a hack saw. Works well for me 🤷‍♂️ loving this build, always love the challenges of building with new objects/ materials!

II stick the wire in the hole then soilder

I used a hacksaw, spent primers alone look pretty slick too. Good job!!

Cutting the shell casings is deceptively more difficult because the metal gets thicker at the base. For myself, I'm fortunate in that I have a Gunsmith Lathe that ought to do the job right quick and neat, but not everybody has one of them laying around. Alternatively, if you have a steady hand, you might try chucking the shell in a hand drill, and use a dremel with a thin diamond cutoff wheel, (thinner cutoff wheel, less metal to remove, should be quicker and neater cut). Another method might be to drill a hole just big enough for the shell to fit into securely, back it up with a solid piece of wood the same size, clamp it together in a bench vise, and use a nice SHARP hacksaw, if you don't mind working up a bit of sweat.

Hey Del, nothing to do with this video (though i am in the process of watching it), but I thought I'd let you know that i finished my first cbg this evening. Mostly scrap wood and a cardstock cigar box I got for free, plus about $15 in supplies. I'm calling it, "mistakes were made". I wanted to say thanks, I didn't follow anyone's plans step by step, but I'm pretty sure I got more inspiration from your channel than anywhere else.

The wave has 4 equal parts broken by 3 nodes (harmonic = no vert movement) So yeah 23 in / 4 = 5.75. Interesting to put it under the node. I guess thats just one note tho so no biggie. Otherwise i wonder if we want the biggest vert vibration place.

Dremrl & cut off wheel might do it.

Put some tape on the bottom of your jigsaw to keep it from scratching.

I used my arrow cutter on mine with a wood dowel in it. As for the burn marks when cutting... it leaves character. You drill holes slightly bigger than your jigsaw blade and cut with that instead of the grinder wheel. Also been thinking on the design for drilling small hole designs for the sound holes. If I come up with a favorite I'll draw it up an you can decide how far apart you'd drill on the can. If I come up with more than a few ideas folks can choose from it may make you a few more bucks. I'll keep you posted brother.

How about using a Dremel tool with the smaller cut off wheels for less burring. Your awesome bro... Been watching your channel for awhile now. I'm on my 15th build now and have used some of your methods. They work well!!! Happy 4th of July soon...

Me, I'd insert a dowel rod to hold the cartridge then cut them with a scroll saw or hacksaw.
